Christmas has come early!

The other day, my good friend Mr Postman knocked at the front door and handed Mum a parcel. Nothing unusual in that, you might say, except it wasn't addressed exclusively to me! We NEVER get parcels here that aren't mine! The parcel was addressed to the whole family, so Mum said she'd like the novelty of opening it. Inside were three Christmas parcels; one for me, one for KC and one for my Mums, from my lovely Aunty Lynne and Dip Bridge & Elliot Well, having not been able to open the first parcel, I honestly couldn't contain myself, so I pinched my parcel and ran off with it!

This is what I found inside:

It's a stretchy fleece tug rope that Aunty Lynne made!

Mum must have been in a good mood for a change and said I could keep it. I demanded that we tested it immediately...

Oh yes, that is excellent! Strong but nice and soft on my mouth.

Mum was left with a bit of a dilemma....she said it wasn't fair that I had my present and KC hadn't got hers, so she decided she could open hers too.

Isn't he brilliant?! Aunty Lynne made him too. Mum said he is so lovely she was reluctant to hand him over!

"I know you are there but I am an aekward little s*d a cat so I am ignoring you...."

"Are you following me, Mickey?!"

" smell quite good"

"Nom nom nom nom......."

By now Mum was feeling seriously left out, and being able to resist anything except temptation, she opened her and Other Mum's present too.

How cute is that?!

We think Aunty Lynne is really clever. For ages her friends have been encouraging her to share some of the fantastic things she makes by opening an Etsy shop, and now she has done it!

It's called Handmade Gifts by L. If you're looking for some great Christmas decorations or a unique birthday present, you should pop along!

Aunty Lynne has made us lots of lovely things since we've known her, so we thought you might like a look..

First came the little cactus that became the emblem of the Crocheted Cactus Club, of which I am President!

Then came this purrrfect putty tat that Aunty Lynne gave Mum for her birthday.

This is one of my crocheted cricket ball!

...And Mum's favourite....her super warm winter socks!

So don't forget to pop along to Lynne's shop. She's adding new things all the time and they do come with my personal recommendation!

The things you have to do to get a treat.......

Like a few of my other UK blogging buddies, I've been contacted by Money Supermarket  who are currently running a competition asking bloggers to publish a post about what lengths us dogs and cats will go to, to win a treat.

I'll be honest; initially I didn't think it was for me.....after all I am a greyhound and I really don't "do" anything to get treats.... I expect them to be served up automatically as is my divine right. But then the nice lady called Louise emailed me again to say the closing date has been extended to 14th December, so I thought "What the hell.....there is, after all, quite a lot of effort that goes into doing cute as well as I do it....."

"Come on get treat making Mum! I'm doing my best pleading eyes"

"No I am NOT prepared to wait patiently until they are done"

"Look I'm sitting and we all know Greyhounds can can't sit!"

"Will you let go! I am NOT a performing dog you know"

But really, who wouldn't be impressed by this huh?!

If you'd like to enter the competition, simply write a post about what your pet will do to get a treat and email a link to with Pets Win Praises in the subject line. Full details including prizes can be found at The Money Supermarket

Farm Visits Aren't As Innocent As They May Seem......

When we had a rare sunny day not so long ago, my Mums decided we'd drive over to a local farm to buy some of their free range eggs. They have a fantastic flavour and come in all colours and sizes. Unfortunately no one thought to take a photograph to show you - really I just can't get the staff.... Mum says to tell you the duck eggs are excellent too, but we don't have a photograph of those either....

Anyway, I'm not allowed to go into the farm because of all the lunches chickens and ducks running around, but I don't really mind as I get to relax in my car with a Dentastix. They have quite a lot of other animals there too and Mum took some photographs of them......

This rather handsome Alpaca had just had a trim!

Harry teaches humans how not to fall off his back!

We weren't quite sure what Ollie's job was. Maybe to keep the kids in line by pecking them!

One of the lunches ducks.

So lots of interesting animals which my completely barmy animal loving mothers spent quite a lot of time talking to. Not that I mind, as I said. They seem very nice, but really can any of them compete with me for total handsomeness and cuddle quality? I think not.

Apparently one of the working dogs on the farm (they have a lot of sheep too) had recently had a litter and this little fella was the last one left, waiting for his new home. He's a Border Collie from champion parents, so look out for him on "One Man and His Dog" in a few years! Mr farmer who knows what a complete sucker Mum is how much Mum likes dogs said we could have him but fortunately Other Mum is slightly less mad has a bit more sense and said we really weren't equipped to give a good home to a little Collie. She didn't mention that we probably couldn't afford him either!

Well thank God one of my parents has some sense. Can you imagine being usurped by that little tyke? Humph. My pointy nose would have been seriously out of joint. It was bad enough them coming back to the car wreaking of puppy......

Here is a picture of case you had forgotten how lovely I am....
